Although snow was falling the Five Rhythm Love Tribe trooped down to China One on Avenue B to celebrate Tatiana's 40th Birthday party.

Doug and I enjoyed catching up and toasting the birthday lass.

Well it is 31 degrees so one below freezing and I am back in the East Village and the Uncle Cliff 80th celebrations seem a million miles away and Glasgow just a wee spot in the map across the pond. Granny is still in hospital, ( I heard she got dressed though today a good sign) and the SP misses the clan and tries to keep busy.

Everyone seems to be pairing up to stay warm. Even Frosty the Clown Snowman looks pretty smug with his hot date Jemima next to him.

Holiday parties and birthday parties keep the SP out of trouble, but how long will that last?

Uncle Cliff looking very handsome in the blue cashmere sweater from J Crew from the Wolfson Sisters.

Scottish frozen tree berries or something. This is my attempt at a National Photographic shot. It is freezing but the sun is shining so very encouraging for walking.

Wee Mumsy even found some apples that survived the winter frost in the garden.

The next day Big McDaddy and Wee Mumsy and I took a walk around the frosty gardens before visiting poor old granny in hospital. Although we are only in Thorntonhall, Big McDaddy looks like he just stepped off the set of a Russian movie. Now you know where I get my style from!

This is all of us. Which numpty took this photo with no flash. Useless.

Here are the Beach Boys!

The Glasgow version, what a very handsome lot and many of those young, delectable Beach cousins are very interested in living in New York, so ladies you may apply here if you fancy a hunk from Scotland. They make excellent porridge amongst other things.

Happy birthday Uncle Cliff, you look fantastic and extremly handsome and youthful.

I am so lucky to have such a great family. In times of cutbacks and global recessions it makes sense to make the most of fun free things to do, like spending time with your family, especially when you can share their 80th birthday.

Wee Mumsy and Big Daddykins look beyond fabulous at the party.

The gals! Note only one lass in red dress.

Here is my wee sis Georgia and another beloved cousin, Jenni with Baby Quinn. He is sleeping in the red maya wrap, my gift and one of her favorites. It is a fabulous thing, you can walk around doing everything as normal while the baby sleeps in the sling and doesn't make a peep. Jenni is the envy of all with the most sweetest baby boy. I feel for my poor parents with not a grandchild in sight. They try not to complain but I know it is hard for them.

My mum redid her kitchen with drawers which open by themselves with one tap, which could potentially knock said wee bairn to the ground. She asked my aunt to visit and the feedback was that the kitchen was not child friendly, but "there is no children to worry about" said my mum. Poor Wee Mumsy. I am on it, I promise.

The main reason to go home was for the Wolfson Beach Family reunion to celebrate my Uncle Cliff's 80th Birthday.

Here we are in Lochgreen House in Troon at the cocktails part of the party. This is McHazel and McAdele, two of my most favorite cousins. I am wearing the red dress again as you can probably see. The little back party dress is officially out.

Ok so I have a confession to make, it relates to the last photos you saw of me.

Here I am in Sunny Glasgow in the Vicky Hospital. Poor Wee McGranny. I printed out one of these photos of me and I gave it to her, she did not even have to ask me for it. She tried to pin it up on her noticeboard and let go off her zimmer walking frame and fell backward with a loud and pinful kerthump and fractured her hip and ended up in hospital. She is smiling here but the expression is a bit resigned and fed up. I on the other hand look very pleased with myself, but that is because I just had my hair done in a Glasgow salon and I am excited to see the McCousins for Friday night dinner.

So it is true what they say, pride does come before a fall, except she was the one that fell not me.

My whole trip home I felt so guilty about granny's fall. She kept assuring me she was having dizzy turns and would have fallen anyway but still I feel it was Kinley's photo of me that did it. Be warned SP loyal subjects be careful when you pin up the photo on your desk, bedside table or whatever and don't try to pin it up too high or you may meet a similar fate. ( You could just keep it in your wallet).

In future I will supply photos with a health warning. Please only pin up at eye level in the company of a family member or care giver. Or everyone will be dropping like flies and that is no good, is it?

It took me one hour to pick this photo as the second shot to choose. To most folk it is exactly the same as the last photo but the light falling on my forehead is particularly alluring so I added it as I thought the SP loyal fans and subjects would probably get a kick out of it.

When you are royalty you can indulge yourself in these vain and self promoting exercises and claim it is all for the good for your subjects. One of the perks of being me! If anyone out there wants a signed photo please send me a note in the comments section.

Here I am relaxing post party. This magnificent table decoration was the only thing that came home with me.

My room mate Kinley decided she would do a mini fashion shoot at 2nd Avenue and here are the results.

As they are the best photos of me ever taken, I would like to post them all but she told me I can only post two or three.

With the nights fair drawing in the SP decided to get glamorous and attend the Israel Philharmonic Black Tie dinner and concert at the Waldorf hotel.

I only tried on about 400 dresses before I picked this one. The poor folk in the shop were having meltdowns as they pulled out everything they had. Finally I picked the dress in the window, on the assumption that was probably their best dress, if it was good enough for the passer bys on Avenue A, it would probably suit the SP.

The temperature has dropped. New Yorkers everywhere are freezing. Both the two legged ones and the four legged ones.

This little dog is sporting a red cashmere sweater and is ready for winter. Doggy couture is back it seems.

Creepy Clown tries to cut back on smoking

Ok so Bloomberg revised the rules so he can run for a third term and the chances are he may ban smoking on street corners and building lobbies now.

This clown likes to sit in the window of an east village costume store , dressed as a Halloween prop, and enjoy a quick puff on the sly. Can Bloomberg's smoking ban hit shop dummies? Or can they continue
to smoke in peace? Now that Obama is in charge will he try to garner the votes of shop dummies too, like this creepy clown? Perhaps the only one in NY who didn't vote for Obama. Not this time.

Friday Night prep for dinner

So how was your week? Jessica, my wee McSister and I recover from a week of battling the credit crunch, or as they like to say the McVities Jaffa Cake Crunch!
